ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker’s restriction on large events, the 2020 Tournament of Champions will be moving to four regional locations with expanded date options

REGIONAL FORMAT – THE SAFEST AND LEAST EXPENSIVE OPTION
Mindful of CDC guidance that the highest risk sporting events are those that bring together athletes from a wider geographic area – and also aware that many families do not have the financial means to buy plane tickets this summer – the Tournament of Champions has decided to offer four or more regional events this July instead of on large, single-venue tournament.

KEY ADVANTAGES OF REGIONAL EVENTS
*Reduced cost by limiting need for air travel and rental cars
*Reduced risk by limiting teams to a smaller geographic area, per CDC guidance
*Allows parent(s) to travel with children at lower cost – and possibly stay in the same hotel room
*Increased flexibility for scheduling
*More affordable room rates (from $99 to $179)
*Sessions can be combined at a discount
*Further discounts for multiple teams and/or multiple sessions

REGIONS
Each region has been selected based on its allowance for safely conducting youth sporting events in July. The first three regions are Des Moines, IA (Upper Midwest); Indianapolis, IN (Midwest, Upper South, and East); and Atlanta, GA (Southeast).  Additional regions/venues may be added pending demand.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Hotel reservations will open on June 5 for all regions.  Once you have registered, you will receive booking links.

REGISTRATION
If you have already registered for Chicago, any fees paid will be applied to your new registration fees. If your new fees are less than what you have paid, you will receive a refund. To register, please contact Ashleigh Picci by email at ashleigh.picci@thetoc.org.

SAFETY PROTOCOL
The Tournament of Champions will meet or exceed any safety requirements or standards imposed by authorities in each State or venue.  These may include but are not limited to temperature checks for participants and/or spectators; limitations on crowd size and/or staggered scheduling; and social distancing for spectators.

REMOTE VIEWING
All games – regardless of region, venue, or court – will be available via live streaming video for fans and college coaches.

DIVISIONS OFFERED
Each region will have division for U14, U15, U16, and U17 teams.

ADDITIONAL INCENTIVES
*Register 2 ore more teams for one session, entry fee is reduced by $100 per team
*Register for any additional session (any region), entry fee is further reduced
*Multi-team and multi-session discounts can be combined
*Hotel room rates start at just $99
*Hotel reservations open on June 5

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Based on feedback from coaches who wanted the ability to purchase individual playing sessions or cities – for budgetary or other reasons – we are now offering this option. See below for details.

NASHVILLE IMPACT
Due the cancellation of the Run 4 The Roses Classic and Battle of the Boro in Nashville, we have taken a significant number of  teams from those events and added a 264 team session in Indianapolis July 6-8 and increased the July 10-12 session to 264 teams. The total number of games in Indianapolis will now be at least 1,320.

ARIZONA
Because the State of Arizona reclosed gyms and banned gatherings of 50 or more persons effective June 30, we have had to postpone our events in Phoenix. Many of those teams have moved to Des Moines or Indianapolis; with the addition of the teams from Nashville mentioned above, the total number of games available live and on demand has increased.
ON DEMAND VIEWING WINDOW
As a reminder, to complement live streaming all 3,000 games from Indianapolis, Des Moines, and Atlanta will be archived for one calendar year for on demand viewing by your entire staff.
RECAP OF KEY FEATURES:

LIVE GAME STREAMING
Every Tournament of Champions game in July 2020 will be live streamed. Watch tournament games on any mobile device, your laptop, desktop, or on your TV. You will be able to evaluate every one of your recruits: every game, every location, every event date. Watch the country’s best players…literally from your couch.

GAME REPLAYS ON DEMAND
Coaches will have access to all Tournament of Champions game broadcasts for replay or on demand. Miss a recruit’s game because of a schedule conflict or just want to reevaluate a player? No problem – the games are always available for you to watch at times convenient to you.

BOX SCORES
Every Tournament of Champions game will have a box score generated for it. The box scores will be available within 6 hours after the completion of a game. The box scores provide a new level of player evaluation metrics to assist in your evaluations.

LEADERBOARDS
For
every Tournament of Champions event day we will be posting the running and final tournament leaders for statistical categories of PPG, RPG, APG, BPG AND SPG. The most productive players are easily identified.ATHLETE INFORMATION
The streaming package includes jersey numbers and demographic information for all competing athletes, making them easy to identify and recruit.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
All game schedules, scores, teams and rosters are available instantly.

SIMULTANEOUS EVENT RECRUITING
Tournament of Champions events that are being held in different cities on the same dates (see below) can all be accessed from the app. Just switch the app channel and you can actually be recruiting in two or three places at the same time.
COLLEGE PROMOTION
Every coach and school who accesses the streaming package will be listed in our app, so that athletes can easily see which coaches are following their games. A virtual “attending coaches”
board will be posted online based on the streaming access.
